The Basics
The aim of this site is to simplify the world of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. Starting with the basics we will cover what bitcoin is, how it works and why it is important.
Bitcoin is for everyone. Don’t let a lack of knowledge keep you from getting into the space. Just as you don’t need to know how the internet works to use it, you also don’t have to be a “techie” in order to get into Bitcoin.
Start with the basics and move at whatever pace you are comfortable with. Reach out with whatever questions you may have. Let’s start with this one:
Use this site as a way to launch yourself into Bitcoin. We hope the information and resources we provide here will address your questions and concerns. That being said, please keep these things in mind:
- It is important you also do your own research and due diligence.
- Do not invest more in anything than you can afford to lose.
- None of this is financial advice.
Bitcoin Versus Everything Else
Most people new to cryptocurrencies start with Bitcoin, but there are other coins out there. The vast majority of these alternative coins (aka “altcoins”) are not worth your time. You may think diversifying into different cryptocurrencies would be a good strategy, but this isn’t the case. It is important we touch on why you should focus only on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin has certain characteristics, such as absolute scarcity and decentralization, that make it unique. Ethereum and Ripple, the second and third most popular cryptocurrencies out there, are attempting to do radically different things. Many doubt they will be successful.
Reasons to focus only on Bitcoin:
- Absolute Scarcity
- Consensus
- Pseudonymity
- Censorship Resistance
- Open Source
- Fungibility
- Transparent
- Permissionless
- Divisibility
With e-currency based on cryptographic proof, without the need to trust a third party middleman, money can be secure and transactions effortless.

Many friends of mine have tried to convince me to get involved in bitcoin for a long time. Clearly should have at least bought some bitcoin eight years ago. Talk about being late to the party.
